Gospel of Mark

If you are just getting started on the Bible, the Gospel of Mark is the place to begin.  It is the earliest Gospel written, and the simplest way to hear about the life and works of Jesus Christ.

After studying the Gospel of Jesus as told by the author of Mark, it is important to go back to the beginning, and discover the origin of the Hebrew traditions.  This study begins in the middle of Genesis and runs through Exodus.

Though Jesus is the center point for the Christian religion, there would have been no spread of the Gospel without the work of the Apostles to take up their own cross and spread the Good News to the world.  This study will navigate us through the post resurrection history of the Apostles as they struggle to share the message of Jesus with the world.  

Getting Started - Intro to the Bible

How do you even get started?  Even if you've never read the Bible before, there is a better way than just starting on Chapter 1 of Genesis and reading straight ahead.  Watch these intro videos to get off to a successful start. 

(Coming Soon) Matthew and Luke in parallel

The Gospel of Matthew was likely written by a Jewish scholar, while the Gospel of Luke was likely written by an educated Gentile.  And while both books were influenced by the earlier written book of Mark, as well as possibly another source (known by scholars as Q), they each tell slightly different versions of Christ's life and ministry because of the background and focus of those authors.  This study will take you through the places where each book shares similar versions of the same story about Jesus.

After the Exodus narrative, the Hebrew people came out of exile and into the land of Canaan.  Yet what they found was a continual struggle in their efforts to follow this God of the Hebrew Bible who had guided them there.  Learn this sometimes troubling, sometimes shocking, and truly amazing collection of stories that share the Old Testament history of the Hebrew people.
